Here is our first design project for Adobe Indesign, we were to design a 11×17 magazine spread. I went with what I do for my “real” job and its a review of the AT&T HTC One X Smartphone.

Next assignment was to create a billboard using Adobe Illustrator, I decided to use Lovelace’s as a example as well as their older Ad campaign as inspiration.
Current lab assignment for Adobe Illustrator which uses Live trace making a Jpeg or raster image into a vector image.
My husband was the model. 
First actual project for my VC220 – Graphic Design Production Processes. Using Illustrator the purpose of this project was to use all the elements of the program to create a poster that would advertise a political candidate, I chose Franklin D. Roosevelt of the 1930′s. Below is the inspiration poster and the poster I designed in Adobe Illustrator.

Here is the current project for tonight, it consisted of the logos from Batman, Green Lantern,The Flash and Superman. The goal was to trace raster images of the same logo and recreate them as vector images.
Below is another version of the same design but playing with a lot of the effects that Adobe Illustrator provides.
The final for this class was to design a Covering for a book or “Book Cover” as well as a Magazine spread that promotes the book. Some of the required elements for the design were, using pictures from said book, picture of the author, text and phrases from the actual book. I chose the store of King Arthur that was written by Howard Pyle.

Here is my current final for my Broadcast Graphics class, we had to create a animation using Adobe After Effects. The material I chose to use was for my two websites I run!
I have been dabbling in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for two of my main sites I run, 3dxhosting.com and this site anthonyhays.com. The results have been quite positive; overall I have seen a larger increase in traffic and unique visitors. I have listed below some tips that will help if you go down the path to increase your ranking with Google, Yahoo and Bing Search engines! Whenever you enter a query in a search engine and hit ‘enter’ you get a list of web results that contain that query term. Users normally tend to visit websites that are at the top of this list as they perceive those to be more relevant to the query. If you have ever wondered why some of these websites rank better than the others then you must know that it is because of a powerful web marketing technique called Search Engine Optimization . Dmoz.org is still relevant to this day for Google and other major search engines I would recommend submitting your site to it, it does take a while for the site to review your link but well worth the 5 minutes it takes to submit!

Tonight I decided to just wing it and not have any real purpose for the following designs. Below I just took random images, textures and text (for the most part) and did some designs. Was fun!
This is the second logo for this week and below was created in Adobe Photoshop also, using multiple filters and text. I like the overall result, the color selection was from a rust image I have in my stock portfolio.

Decided to design another movie poster, went with dark theme as I usually do. Used images textures and Photoshop CS3 for majority of the work, the “mask” part was from online, could not find source.
